Summary

The Preston Institute of Technology was established on 24 September 1968. In 1970, it relocated to a new campus on a 42-hectare site in Bundoora (Edquist and Grierson, 2008, p. 155). The institute amalgamated with the State College of Victoria at Coburg, opening as the Phillip Institute of Technology in January 1982 (Carroll, 1995, pp. 1 and 3).
