McPherson, Ethel Margaret

Summary

Ethel Margaret McPherson OBE was the last president of the Council of the Emily McPherson College of Domestic Economy, a position she held for thirty-two years (Edquist and Grierson, 2008, p. 91). McPherson had been involved in the Council for fifty years (Docherty, 1981, p. 290). A wing of the Emily McPherson College was named in her honour in 1950 (RMIT University, undated).
