Dr Constance Ellis was an inaugural member of the Advisory Committee of the College of Domestic Economy. Between c.1933 and c.1935 Dr Ellis was president of the Council of the Emily McPherson College of Domestic Economy (Docherty, 1981, pp. 28, 32 and 298).
