Designed by H2o with Bates Smart, Building 513 was built to house the university's textiles, clothing, leather and footwear programs. A large portion of the building is clad in western red cedar panels, which act as a thermal insulator (Edquist and Grierson, 2008. p. 174; H2o Architects, undated).
