According to Murray-Smith and Dare (1987, p. 224), Dr Alison Ingram was one of the first students to be awarded a certificate in radiography at the Working Men's College. Ingram was the superintendent of the Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital for Women and Children and subsequently the medical superintendent of the Children's Welfare Department (Age, 16 March 1934, p. 7).
