Summary

Edwin Stuart Richards was appointed evening demonstrator and lecturer in chemistry at the Working Men's College In 1905. In 1912 he became head of the Chemistry Department at the College and in December 1934 he was appointed Vice-Principal (SER-09908, 22 February 1937, p. 1754, RMIT University Archives). Richards retired in 1936 (Murray-Smith and Dare, 1987, p. 263).
