1892 - Working Men's College Photographic Club Established

Summary

The Working Men's College Photographic Club was established in 1892. According to Murray-Smith and Dare (1987, p. 76), the Club became 'the most important student club at the college' and 'perhaps the liveliest photographic club in Australia in the twenty years following its founding', which they felt was largely because the College's Photographic Club 'admitted women on equal terms'.
