James Henry Bradshaw was a member of the Working Men's College (Melbourne Technical College from 1934) from 1924 until his death in 1935. He was president of the College in 1928 (SER-09907, 28 October 1935, pp. 1591 and 1593, RMIT University Archives; Murray-Smith and Dare, 1987, p. 468). Bradshaw was also involved in the Labor movement for thirty years, twenty-three of which he was secretary of the Victorian Plasterers' Society (SER-09907, 28 October 1935, pp. 1591 and 1593, RMIT University Archives).
