McNicol, James Norman
- Summary
James Norman McNicol joined the Working Men's College as a junior clerk in 1888. On his retirement in 1936, after almost fifty years of service to the College, McNicol was Clerk of Studies. According to Murray-Smith and Dare (1987, p. 161), McNicol 'took an active interest in students, promoted their careers, and educated his own four children at private schools'.
